2021: Celebrating Our Volunteers

Take Action.

Make A Difference.

Over the past 18 months, United Hatzalah has been on call 24/7 to help the people of Israel receive the medical care they need. We have continued to innovate in spite of the incredible challenges and our volunteers have stepped up to help provide new necessary services including transportation for homebound citizens to vaccination centers, a humanitarian dispatch center, and responding to mass casualty incidents in Israel and abroad. Naturally, this forced us to reprioritize our spending during this period.

Critical investments, usually made annually, like training courses for volunteer medics or renovations of our volunteer centers (the majority of which double as public bomb shelters) were stopped to ensure we could meet immediate needs. This is not sustainable if our organization is to flourish long term.

Our focus now is to rebuild and secure our future. We must ensure we are training new volunteer medics; we need our vehicles in working order; we need to evolve our infrastructure to scale our dispatch capability at a moment’s notice; and we need to ensure we have ample medical supplies.

Please join us this year in celebrating the United Hatzalah volunteers. Help us give them the support they need to do what they do best – saving lives.

In my community, being a woman, a teacher, a medic and an ambucycle driver empowers me to influence change for future generations.
